You'll serve as the face and voice of our weekend news operation, anchoring live broadcasts while actively reporting on the stories shaping our community. This full-time position combines on-air anchoring with investigative reporting and multi-platform content creation—giving you the visibility and impact that define modern broadcast journalism.
What You'll Do
- Anchor weekend news broadcasts with professionalism and clarity
- Research, investigate, and report on local stories that matter to Columbus viewers
- Conduct interviews and gather information from sources and the community
- Write news copy, scripts, and story packages to broadcast and journalistic standards
- Create and publish content across digital platforms, websites, and social media to expand our reach
- Collaborate with reporters, producers, and management on story selection and news judgment
- Meet deadlines across multiple newscasts and digital publishing schedules
- Perform additional duties as assigned by news management

- Proven ability to research, develop, and execute news stories from concept to broadcast
- Strong writing skills and solid news judgment
