About the Role

You'll serve as the face and voice of our weekend news operation, anchoring live broadcasts while actively reporting on the stories shaping our community. This full-time position combines on-air anchoring with investigative reporting and multi-platform content creation—giving you the visibility and impact that define modern broadcast journalism.

What You'll Do

  • Anchor weekend news broadcasts with professionalism and clarity
  • Research, investigate, and report on local stories that matter to Columbus viewers
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from sources and the community
  • Write news copy, scripts, and story packages to broadcast and journalistic standards
  • Create and publish content across digital platforms, websites, and social media to expand our reach
  • Collaborate with reporters, producers, and management on story selection and news judgment
  • Meet deadlines across multiple newscasts and digital publishing schedules
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by news management
