About the Role

As the morning News Anchor for WRIC in Richmond, Richmond County, you will be the lead voice presenting news and feature content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. This full-time, on-site position calls for a polished communicator who can translate the day's developments into clear, compelling, and relevant storytelling for the community Nexstar Media serves.

Key Responsibilities

• Anchor and present daily news segments and additional content for television, web, and mobile audiences.
• Deliver stories in a way that is accessible, engaging, and meaningful to viewers and online readers.
• Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and accuracy in every piece of content produced.
• Collaborate with producers, reporters, and the newsroom team to shape coverage that reflects company quality benchmarks.
• Represent the station as a credible, professional on-air presence throughout the broadcast day.

Qualifications

• Proven on-camera anchoring or reporting experience in a broadcast or multimedia news environment.
• Strong writing, editorial judgment, and live presentation skills.
• A firm commitment to factual, ethical journalism and editorial standards.
• Ability to perform confidently across multiple platforms in a fast-paced morning schedule.
• Comfortable working on-site in Richmond, Richmond County.
