You'll work in a newsroom that demands speed, accuracy, and strong editorial judgment. This role combines the immediacy of digital journalism with traditional reporting depth, requiring you to stay alert, think critically, and deliver clean copy under tight deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Monitor news developments throughout the day and prepare timely coverage
- Report on breaking stories with accuracy and clear context
- Identify emerging local and regional stories before they trend elsewhere
- Collaborate with editors and fellow reporters to coordinate comprehensive coverage
- File multiple story versions and updates for digital and print platforms
- Develop original reporting angles and source relationships
What We're Looking For
- Journalism experience or formal training in news writing and reporting
- Ability to perform well under deadline pressure and manage multiple assignments
