The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Capitalsolutionsgroup in Fort Meade, Maryland. This position requires an individual with a strong background in network support and security, including system level design, architecture, and enterprise security. The ideal candidate will have experience with various networking technologies and protocols.
- Provide advanced network support that includes system-level design, architecture, or enterprise security
- Support datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls
- Proficient in Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
- Perform physical installation and configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing/switching protocols
- Showcase working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls
- Have a working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite for support tasks
- Be able to work on-call and in live call environments, utilizing ticketing systems like Remedy for task tracking
- Experience with virtualization products such as VMWare and Solaris containers
What We're Looking For
Candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance with both polygraphs. A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required for this role. Applicants should have either a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience, or no degree with five years of relevant experience, or three years of demonstrable network engineering experience in LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection, including datacenter network design and architecture.
