Manager, Information Systems

Ensono is recruiting a Manager, Information Systems for a full-time position at our Chennai facility. In this pivotal role, you'll combine technical expertise across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services with hands-on leadership of a cloud operations team, managing infrastructure, incident response, and transformation initiatives.

Role Overview

This position centres on directing public cloud infrastructure and platform engineering across a 80/20 split between Google Cloud Platform and AWS. You will own the full lifecycle of cloud services—from provisioning and configuration through performance monitoring and cost optimisation—whilst building and mentoring a high-performing operations team. The role balances strategic infrastructure improvements with day-to-day operational excellence, requiring both technical depth and collaborative leadership.

Your Responsibilities

• Direct provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and cost management across Google Cloud Platform and AWS environments.
• Lead infrastructure-modernisation initiatives focused on scalability, security, and operational reliability.
• Build, mentor, and develop cloud operations teams; assign priorities, track delivery, and foster accountability.
• Monitor and manage the complete incident and change-request lifecycle using ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms, including root-cause analysis and preventive action.
• Develop and deploy automation solutions using Linux, Salt, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Bash) to reduce manual work and enhance operational efficiency.
• Drive stakeholder alignment across technical teams and business units, taking end-to-end ownership of major projects and service initiatives.
• Identify process gaps and champion continuous-improvement initiatives with minimal supervision.

What We're Looking For

• Expert-level proficiency in Google Cloud Platform; working-level knowledge of AWS.
• Demonstrated experience in Linux server administration and cloud platform operations.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks (Salt, Ansible) and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Proven track record managing technical teams, coaching engineers, and delivering results under pressure.
• Strong experience with ITSM practices, change-management processes, and incident-response protocols.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities in complex, time-sensitive situations.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: Google Cloud Professional certification (Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer), AWS Solutions Architect certification, or experience in multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
