About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate, you will support daily store operations while helping to create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer. You will work closely with the store manager to ensure the sales floor is well‑stocked, organized, and ready to meet the needs of the community.

What You'll Do

  • Guide and assist sales associates on the floor, providing on‑the‑spot coaching and feedback
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and executing planograms
  • Process customer transactions accurately at the register, handling cash, credit, and refunds according to company policy
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and communicate stocking needs to management
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to foster loyalty and satisfaction
  • Ensure the store remains clean, safe, and compliant with all Dollar General standards and procedures
  • Assist with receiving shipments, verifying quantities, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor
  • Participate in loss‑prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious activity

What We're Looking For

  • Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Basic math proficiency for handling cash and processing transactions accurately
  • Reliability and a commitment to showing up for scheduled shifts on time
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
