About the Role
As a Judicial Clerk I, you'll be the organizational backbone of the courtroom and judicial offices, ensuring smooth operations across multiple court divisions. This FLSA non-exempt position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the administration of justice while working in a professional, structured legal environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and organize case files, legal documents, and court records prior to hearings and trials
- Assist judges by managing courtroom operations and ensuring proceedings run efficiently
- Schedule judicial hearings, conferences, and proceedings, coordinating with attorneys and court staff
- Process case filings, maintain case status updates, and manage court dockets
- Communicate with attorneys, litigants, and members of the public regarding court procedures and requirements
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate court records and case management systems
- Support both criminal and juvenile court proceedings as assigned
- Handle confidential information with integrity and maintain strict adherence to court protocols
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or paralegal training is a plus
