Tulsa County is hiring a Custody and Control Specialist to support the safe movement of youth served by the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau in the United States. About the Role
As a Custody and Control Specialist with Tulsa County, you will work under direction and within the policies and guidelines of the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau (also known as the Tulsa County Family Center for Juvenile Justice). The position carries primary responsibility for transporting and escorting youth — both mechanically restrained and unrestrained — between the Detention facility, court, and other approved locations. This is a full-time, in-person position based in the US; remote work is not available. The posted pay is $18.97 per hour, and the scheduled shift is 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Two positions are currently open.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secure transportation for youth between Detention, court appearances, and other designated sites.
- Escort both restrained and unrestrained youth in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Apply and monitor mechanical restraints appropriately when required.
- Carry out duties in line with the policies and guidelines set by the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau.
- Maintain order, supervision, and the well-being of youth throughout each transport.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow detailed policies, procedures, and direct supervision.
- Strong attention to safety, security, and proper custody protocols.
- Availability to work the assigned 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM shift on a full-time basis.
- A dependable, professional approach to working with detained youth.
