IT Manager

XPeng is hiring an IT Manager for its Santa Clara, CA office on a full-time basis. Lead IT operations, infrastructure, and support teams at a company driving the future of intelligent mobility, autonomous vehicles, and advanced robotics.

Position Summary

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management. You'll oversee IT infrastructure, vendor relationships, and support operations for on-site and remote staff, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop IT team members; handle recruitment, performance management, and professional development
• Manage IT infrastructure: servers, storage (SAN/NAS), network equipment, firewalls, VPN, and security systems
• Oversee end-user support operations including help desk, technical troubleshooting, and user training
• Support multi-platform environments: Windows, macOS, Ubuntu/Linux servers, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
• Administer LDAP, Active Directory, mobile device management (MDM), and network configuration (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Manage wired and wireless networks, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain network security
• Support productivity and collaboration platforms: Office 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, Confluence, Jira, GitLab
• Handle software deployment, patching, updates, license management, and hardware/software inventory
• Negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements; develop IT spending justifications and cost-benefit analyses
• Create technical documentation and maintain knowledge base for self-service support
• Stay current with IT technologies, security practices, and infrastructure trends

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 5+ years IT experience
• 3+ years supporting mixed environments: Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu/Linux systems
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM): SimpleMDM, Fleetsmith, Intune, or similar
• Experience with configuration management tools: Munki, Ansible, Puppet, or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with monitoring systems: Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, or similar
• Knowledge of server platforms: Windows Server, Ubuntu Server, VMware ESXi, KVM, Docker
• L2/L3 networking expertise with mainstream vendors: Cisco, Aruba, H3C, SonicWall
• Scripting skills: Bash, PowerShell, Python
• Strong foundation in directory services: LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Ability to manage multiple projects, lead IT staff, and deliver under pressure
• MCSA certification or equivalent highly desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
• Strong customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful in fast-paced environments
