Role Overview
As an Information Technology Specialist at Equus, you're the backbone of our technology environment. You'll manage hardware and software systems, troubleshoot technical issues, support employees, and ensure our IT infrastructure meets the demands of a growing organization. This is a hands-on position that combines infrastructure work with direct user support.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, and IT peripherals
- Monitor system performance, apply security updates, and manage IT compliance
- Set up user accounts, reset credentials, and guide staff through technical processes
- Respond to support tickets and help desk requests with timely, effective solutions
- Document systems, configurations, and support activities for organizational records
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree a plus
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems independently
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and support documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Collaborative approach to working within a team environment
