About the Role

As an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster, you'll investigate insurance claims by inspecting property damage, reviewing police reports and medical records, and interviewing witnesses. You'll determine claim liability and coverage, negotiating settlements with claimants and healthcare providers to resolve claims fairly and efficiently. This is a full-time position based in Jamaica, Queens, serving clients across the region.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate property damage from weather events, accidents, and other covered incidents
• Gather and analyze documentation to assess claim validity and scope
• Calculate claim payouts based on policy terms and damage assessment
• Communicate findings and settlement recommendations to insurers and claimants
• Maintain accurate claim files and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
• Respond to time-sensitive claims, particularly during periods of high claim volume
• Represent the company professionally with claimants, medical providers, and legal representatives

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (frequent travel to damage sites required)
• Professional demeanor and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn insurance industry practices and regulations
• Available to work full-time hours in Jamaica, Queens
