Position Summary

As a Guest Services Agent with Hriproperties at Aloft New Orleans Downtown, you will serve as the face of the property and the first point of contact for every visitor. This full-time position centers on delivering warm, efficient service that turns arrivals into loyal advocates while supporting the smooth daily flow of front-of-house operations in a high-energy urban setting.

Core Duties

• Welcome arriving guests, complete check-in procedures, and process room assignments with accuracy and speed
• Handle check-outs, payments, and billing questions while ensuring a smooth departure experience
• Answer inquiries about property features, nearby attractions, dining options, and local transportation
• Resolve guest requests or concerns on the spot or escalate them to the right team member quickly
• Manage multi-line phone banks, take reservations, and keep digital and paper records up to date
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other partners so every stay feels seamless
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-desk area throughout the shift

Requirements

• Genuine enthusiasm for helping people and a professional, service-first attitude
• Clear verbal and written communication skills suitable for diverse guests
• Comfort using computers, reservation systems, and basic office tools
• Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented during busy periods
• Willingness to work flexible shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• Previous front-desk, customer-service, or hospitality exposure is advantageous
