Growth Marketing Director (Remote)

Cengage Group is hiring a Growth Marketing Director (Remote) to lead our expansion strategy. This full-time role is based in Newark, Essex County, and offers the opportunity to build and scale a high-impact marketing organization that drives measurable business results.

About the Role

As Growth Marketing Director, you'll lead the design and execution of integrated marketing strategies that fuel sustainable revenue expansion. Working remotely, you'll oversee customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle programs while collaborating across Product, Sales, Portfolio, and operational teams. Your focus will be on converting prospects into loyal customers and optimizing their lifetime value through data-informed campaigns and insights.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive growth marketing strategies that align with company objectives
• Oversee customer acquisition programs, from campaign conception through performance optimization
• Design retention and lifecycle marketing initiatives that maximize customer engagement and revenue
• Analyze marketing metrics and customer data to identify opportunities and refine targeting and messaging
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Portfolio teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team
• Lead budget allocation and resource planning across growth initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record scaling customer acquisition and revenue growth in competitive markets
• Strong proficiency with marketing analytics, CRM platforms, and attribution modeling
• Strategic experience building and managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships
• Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing, customer retention strategies, and funnel optimization
• Experience developing data-driven marketing strategies and translating insights into action
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
