About the Role

We are seeking a Ground & Utility Officer to join our team at St Patrick's College. This is a permanent full-time position based in South Launceston, where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the school’s grounds and utilities. The ideal candidate should have a passion for outdoor work and enjoy hands-on tasks that contribute directly to creating a safe and well-maintained environment for our students.

Core Duties

• Maintain and care for the school's grounds, including landscaping, mowing, and garden maintenance.
• Ensure all utilities are functioning properly and address any issues promptly.
• Contribute to the overall safety and cleanliness of the campus by performing regular inspections and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• A proven track record in grounds maintenance or related field is essential.
• Strong physical fitness, as this role involves a lot of manual labor.
• Good communication skills to interact with staff and students effectively.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems would be advantageous.
