The Hartford is seeking a Global Specialty Senior Product Specialist, Casualty to join our team in Tarrytown, Travis County. This full-time role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in specialty casualty product development and shape the future of insurance solutions for our clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Specialist in our Global Specialty Casualty division, you'll lead the development, refinement, and strategy of casualty insurance products. You'll work at the intersection of market demand, underwriting expertise, and profitability to create competitive offerings that set The Hartford apart. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on product management across a complex portfolio of specialty lines.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain product strategies for specialty casualty lines, including risk assessment frameworks and coverage design
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to ensure products meet profitability targets and market positioning
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify gaps and opportunities in the specialty casualty insurance landscape
• Define product features, coverage limits, exclusions, and premium structures based on risk data and customer needs
• Guide cross-functional teams through product launches and enhancements, managing timelines and deliverables
• Monitor product performance metrics and adjust strategies based on market feedback and financial results
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to underwriting guidelines across all product initiatives
• Partner with sales and marketing to communicate product value and positioning to customers and brokers

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in insurance product management, underwriting, or actuarial roles, with focus on specialty casualty
• Deep knowledge of casualty insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment
• Proven track record developing successful insurance products or managing complex product portfolios
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to translate data into actionable product decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across technical and business audiences
• Experience navigating regulatory requirements and compliance in insurance operations
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or related field; professional certifications (CPCU, ASA) a plus
