Position Summary

The Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) at BJC Healthcare provides high-quality care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions such as pre and post lung transplant, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator-dependent cases, weaning processes, and the administration of special drips. Our unit collaborates closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with complex respiratory conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques

What We're Looking For

• A registered nurse with a valid license to practice in Missouri
• Experience in pulmonary care or related fields is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Patient-centered approach with excellent bedside manner
