Freelance Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d) – DevOps | Platform | Security

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking experienced freelance Cloud Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, DevOps/Platform Engineers, and Security Specialists for current and upcoming client projects across the DACH region.

Your project assignments may include:

• Cloud migration initiatives and building modern cloud and infrastructure platforms
• DevOps and Platform Engineering implementation
• Automation, security, and cloud architecture projects
• Infrastructure design and deployment for distributed systems
• Security assessments and DevSecOps integration
• Technical consulting and solution architecture

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Several years of hands-on experience in at least one relevant cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security domain
• Proven track record from professional cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security projects
• Deep expertise in at least one of these areas: Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps/Platform Engineering, Cloud Security/DevSecOps, or Cloud/Solution Architecture
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Availability for freelance projects in Germany and the DACH region
• German language skills at C1 level or higher (fluent to negotiation-safe)
• English language skills at B2 level or higher (good to very good)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with modern cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitOps, or comparable DevOps/Platform technologies
• Background with Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, or infrastructure automation
• Knowledge of IAM, cloud security, application security, infrastructure security, or DevSecOps practices
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, or infrastructure architecture
• Track record as Cloud Architect, Solution Architect, Tech Lead, or technical consultant
