About the Role
As a Field Technician with Southern Star, you'll bring satellite connectivity to households and businesses across our service area. You'll install Starlink and Dish Network systems, diagnose service issues, and deliver the hands-on support that keeps customers connected. This is a full-time position with training, pay progression, and performance incentives built in.
What You'll Do
- Install Starlink and Dish Network systems at customer premises
- Troubleshoot and repair satellite internet and television equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and system optimization
- Respond to service calls and resolve issues in the field
- Ensure work quality meets company and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage service schedules
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude

- Physical capability for hands-on installation and repair work
Compensation & Career Path
We invest in our technicians' growth. Training begins at $17.00 per hour, increasing to $17.50 upon completion of our program. You'll then earn a guaranteed hourly rate of $20.00 during your first nine months, providing stability as you develop expertise. After that, bonuses and commissions reward your performance and growth.
