25-26 Weight Room Supervisor – Spring

Join Grandview's athletic department as a Weight Room Supervisor for the 2025-26 Spring season. This part-time position offers a hands-on opportunity to support student athletes and the athletic program in Grandview, Jackson County.

About This Position

As Weight Room Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the athletic department, working directly under the Athletic Director to manage daily weight room operations and support our student-athlete development. You'll collaborate closely with the activities director and varsity head coaches to bring the department's vision and strategic goals to life, creating an environment where student athletes can safely build strength and achieve their athletic potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise student athletes during weight room sessions, ensuring safe and effective use of all equipment
• Monitor compliance with weight room policies and athletic department standards
• Maintain equipment inventory, perform routine maintenance checks, and report any damage or safety concerns
• Support athletic programs by coordinating facility access and schedules with varsity coaches and the activities director
• Assist in training student athletes on proper lifting technique and equipment use
• Keep detailed records of facility usage and report regularly to the Athletic Director

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience supervising athletic facilities or working with student athletes
• Strong knowledge of weight room equipment, safety protocols, and strength training best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with coaches, staff, and student athletes
• Commitment to enforcing policies consistently and maintaining a clean, safe, organized facility
• Ability to motivate and support young athletes in a professional, approachable manner
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to accommodate the athletic schedule
