Senior Family Law Associate

Jobot seeks an experienced Senior Family Law Associate to join our Oakland-based family law practice. This is a full-time position serving clients throughout Alameda County and the greater Bay Area.

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled attorney with a proven track record in family law to take on senior-level responsibilities. As Senior Family Law Associate at our Oakland office, you'll manage complex cases, mentor junior attorneys, and provide strategic counsel on high-stakes family matters. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families during critical life transitions while working alongside experienced legal professionals who share our commitment to excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and spousal support matters
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' interests in mediation and litigation
• Manage client relationships and provide guidance on family law strategy
• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals on case handling and legal analysis
• Oversee case discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
• Appear in Alameda County court and handle hearings before judges

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid California law license in good standing
• 5+ years of family law practice experience
• Strong litigation and negotiation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Thorough knowledge of California family law statutes and procedures
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
• Professional demeanor and commitment to client service
