What This Role Involves
The Estimator is responsible for leading a technical proposal team that responds to Customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The role involves taking ownership and being fully accountable for the technical proposal team and Crestoperations' response to RFPs. A key responsibility is ensuring all technical requirements provided in the RFP are comprehensively covered in Crestoperations’ response.
The Estimator’s work includes generating proposals that encompass pricing, bid forms, scope of work, project schedule, terms and conditions, execution plans with organizational charts, drawings, equipment information, and additional data. The aim is to submit complete proposals that have the potential to result in new business for the company.
Responsibilities
- Reads and understands project specifications (technical) to obtain a clear understanding of the project scope of work
- Generates initial proposal drafts, ensuring all technical requirements are met
- Takes ownership in the technical proposal team and Crestoperations’ response to RFPs
- Ensures proposals cover all aspects required by the RFP
- Prepares comprehensive proposals including pricing, bid forms, scope of work, project schedule, terms and conditions, execution plans with org charts, drawings, equipment information, and additional data
What You Bring
Candidates should possess a strong background in engineering or construction management. Experience in high-voltage industry projects is preferred. A proven track record of successfully leading technical proposal teams and generating comprehensive proposals for RFPs is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
