- Estimate complex and large-scale jobs including conceptual estimates, negotiated bids, budgets, and general conditions
- Conduct systems studies and comparisons to provide accurate cost analyses
- Implement value engineering techniques to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors for effective bid management
- Create detailed budget documents for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Chief Estimator in managing estimating projects and resources
- Ensure all estimates are accurate, timely, and meet company standards
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools such as ProEst, PlanGrid, or similar
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on financial projections
