Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair electrical circuits, controls, motors, and related components used with railroad and coal barn equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, replace worn parts, and restore machinery to proper working condition
• Carry out preventive maintenance so unplanned failures are less likely
• Diagnose faults using tools, drawings, and systematic testing
• Follow site safety rules and lockout practices when working on energized or rotating equipment
• Record completed work and report equipment status to supervisors and operations staff

Qualifications
