This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction and daily operations of a physics division within one of the nation's leading cancer treatment and research centers. You'll work across City of Hope's integrated system of Southern California clinical locations and research facilities, collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and clinical teams to deliver excellence in patient care.
What You'll Do
- Direct clinical and research physics programs, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across radiation oncology services
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of medical physicists and physics professionals
- Oversee radiation safety protocols, quality assurance programs, and physics-based quality improvement initiatives
- Manage capital equipment selection, maintenance, and clinical technology implementations
- Collaborate with radiation oncology physicians and clinical staff on treatment planning, dosimetry, and patient safety
- Represent physics in departmental and institutional leadership forums
- Support clinical research and technical innovation in radiation oncology
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in Medical Physics, Health Physics, or related discipline
- Board certification in Medical Physics or equivalent professional credential
- Demonstrated experience in radiation oncology physics and clinical practice
- Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare or research setting
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, regulatory compliance, and medical physics standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
