Director / Sr Director / Vice President Business Development – US North East (gn)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential structural biology organization seeking a senior business development leader to expand their presence across the US East Coast. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive strategies to grow market share and establish new partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. You will leverage your deep industry network to identify opportunities, nurture relationships with key decision-makers, and drive strategic partnerships across both stand-alone projects and integrated programs.

You will lead high-level negotiations and close deals that generate significant revenue growth while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. As a senior representative, you will attend major industry conferences and events to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks. This position requires domestic and international travel, including periodic visits to European headquarters.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in the CRO industry
• Proven track record of successful sales and territory management within CRO services
• Degree in a life science-related field
• Extensive network within biotech and pharmaceutical sectors with demonstrated ability to convert connections into contracts
• Deep understanding of early drug discovery processes, structural biology, protein sciences, biologics, biophysics, and integrated discovery programs
• Demonstrated success developing and executing effective business development strategies
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong professional relationship-building capabilities
• Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
