Role Overview

In the Director, Professional Services - Architecture & Data Engineering Services position at Ivalua in Pune - India, you join the professional services group charged with delivering highly configurable solutions while upholding rigorous quality and efficiency. The data intelligence focus centres on system integrations, sophisticated Power BI reporting, and complete spend management data offerings. You will serve as an experienced technical leader who designs robust architectures, oversees intricate data flows, upholds engineering standards, and ensures consistent, timely, budget-conscious delivery of scalable data projects across a portfolio of engagements.

Your Responsibilities

• Set and maintain firm architectural standards, code quality measures, and deployment practices covering interfaces, Power BI, and spend management data areas.
• Act as the senior resolver for demanding architectural and technical data performance issues that arise across projects.
• Partner with functional and engineering colleagues inside professional services to unify business workflows with underlying data architectures.
• Apply artificial intelligence and automation technologies to advance data mapping work and shorten implementation timelines for clients.
• Lead, expand, and elevate a skilled technical team in Pune while developing individuals into future technical leaders.
• Build an inclusive environment of continuous learning and supply in-depth technical mentoring across interface, BI, and spend tracks.
• Report to the VP of Professional Services and Innovation Success and keep the regional model aligned with global company standards.
• Equip systems integrators and consultancy partners with design reviews, best-practice guidance, and expert advice so their contributions succeed.
• Serve senior customer executives including CIOs and CTOs as the principal technical contact and assure partner-led work meets corporate quality criteria.
• Guarantee accurate data validation, orderly environment transfer, and clean hand-off from go-live into ongoing support.
• Track and improve professional services indicators such as project profitability, resource utilisation, and delivery quality that feed company results including annual recurring revenue and margins.

What You Bring

• Ten or more years in technical architecture, web-based software building, or technical professional services delivery.
• Five or more years of direct people leadership, with a track record of growing and developing engineering or delivery teams.
• Hands-on coding strength together with solid command of ETL, EAI, and business intelligence tooling.
• At least ten years of advanced SQL Server work involving complex queries and data optimisation.
• Proven integration builds using SOAP and REST APIs plus transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, AS2 and data formats including CSV, XML, EDI, and cXML.
• Deep expertise in Power BI visualisation and enterprise reporting employing MDX or DAX.
• Broad understanding of commercial enterprise hardware, software, operating systems, and web product integration methods.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation capabilities for managing escalations, partners, and C-level stakeholders.
• Analytical problem-solving orientation centred on data-based decisions and architectural soundness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field (or foreign equivalent).
• Ability to travel approximately 20 percent of the time.
• Advantageous: experience enabling systems integrators, use of AI/ML for data tasks, procurement or source-to-pay domain knowledge, and relevant architecture certifications.
