Role Overview

As Staff Engineer,MAC OS/Client at Netskope in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, you will architect and refine the multi-platform client that steers traffic through Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, Zero Trust Network Access, Cloud Firewall, and Endpoint DLP services. The Client team ensures these agents remain easy to deploy and operate at scale, providing centralized control and troubleshooting in environments where traditional boundaries no longer exist. Candidates are reviewed across experience levels so skills align optimally with the Staff Engineer,MAC OS/Client or adjacent opportunities on the team.

Your Responsibilities

• Partner with skilled engineers to construct macOS client security endpoint agent technologies that deliver integrated data protection.
• Produce multi-threaded and multi-platform C++ code that follows contemporary development methods.
• Interpret requirement documents, research suitable approaches, then design and code features that meet rigorous standards for reliability, maintainability, scalability, and observability.
• Collaborate with product management to clarify needs and convert them into implementation plans.
• Develop and execute unit test suites for modules you own.
• Support quality assurance colleagues so product validation becomes more thorough and efficient.

Who We're Looking For

• Ten or more years of hands-on product development in endpoint, network, or cloud security domains.
• Advanced C++ programming capability.
• Strong mastery of data structures and algorithms.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols.
• Comprehensive understanding of macOS internals plus proven experience building software on macOS.
• Familiarity with cryptography techniques.
• Practice writing code that runs across multiple platforms.
• Working knowledge of web data formats such as JSON, XML, and MIME.
• Awareness of CI/CD platforms including Jenkins.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills that enable transparent, consistent interaction with colleagues.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required; Master of Science in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
