About the Role

The Clinical Analyst - Portugal opportunity at GeneDx centers on independent evaluation of sequencing cases drawn from exome and genome pipelines. As a mid-level specialist holding ABMGG or CCMG credentials, you will drive accurate genetic finding interpretation and diagnostic support with limited oversight, advancing case resolution through established analysis methods while maintaining strong productivity.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Carry out solo clinical data evaluation and case oversight that underpins correct reading of genetic results, including any reanalysis work.
• Build phenotype-to-genotype links spanning numerous genetic conditions by consulting proprietary resources and domain tools.
• Probe and clarify multifaceted clinical aspects of genetic disorders, then record supporting material and classification logic for variants in a uniform, understandable style.
• Reach or go beyond the productivity and accuracy targets defined by the team supervisor.
• Complete clinical analyses at a moderate caseload pace.
• Handle further assignments that help attain broader team goals.

What We're Looking For

• PhD in Biology, Genetics or a closely related domain, or an MD/DO plus more than two years of directly applicable clinical diagnostics practice (fellowship time counts).
• Outstanding spoken and written command of English.
• Solid computing abilities with capacity to stay expert in proprietary software, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Office 365 platform.
• At least one full year of unaided clinical analysis work.
• ABMGG or CCMG certification is required.

The budgeted range runs from €83.000 to €105.000 EUR and varies according to country, experience, and credentials.
