Data Transmission Analyst

CSCI Consulting is seeking a full-time Data Transmission Analyst for a remote role supporting its Department of War (DoW / DoD) client through dependable system-to-system data movement.

About This Position

As a remote Data Transmission Analyst with CSCI Consulting, you will keep inbound and outbound data files, feeder files, interface transmissions, and scheduled exchanges flowing accurately, securely, completely, and on time. You partner daily with integration groups, data specialists, system owners, finance partners, and implementation leads on transmission oversight, file checks, reconciliations, problem solving, readiness activities, and post-go-live stabilization. The position is essential for sustaining the trustworthy data pipelines that underpin federal financial reporting, compliance, and mission-critical processes in a full-time remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Track inbound and outbound file transfers, feeder files, batch jobs, and interface processing so delivery succeeds as planned
• Confirm file completeness, record counts, naming rules, formatting standards, and transmission criteria
• Run reconciliations across source and target systems to match control totals, record volumes, and delivery success
• Probe failed, delayed, missing, duplicated, or corrupted transmissions and work with technical and functional partners on fixes
• Watch exception reports, transmission logs, alerts, and operational metrics to spot problems and drive prompt remediation
• Contribute to integration testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover steps, and production readiness
• Collaborate with integration, remediation, finance, and reporting groups to clear transmission issues that affect data quality and reporting
• Assist with ERP feeder files, GTAS-related exchanges, and downstream reporting interfaces
• Keep audit-ready documentation, operational procedures, escalation logs, incident records, and transmission support materials current
• Provide go-live assistance and stabilization monitoring so reliable data movement resumes quickly when needed

What We're Looking For

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience accepted
• Five or more years supporting data transmissions, file-based integrations, interface operations, system implementations, or enterprise application support
• Prior work on federal system implementations, ERP integrations, or large-scale data exchange environments
• Solid command of file processing, batch jobs, reconciliation approaches, data validation, and transmission controls
• Hands-on troubleshooting of transmission failures, file errors, interface exceptions, and operational incidents
• Skill coordinating across technical, functional, client, and program management partners
• Creative, adaptable problem-solving plus the ability to learn client needs, stay organized, manage time well, communicate clearly in writing and speech, and maintain a professional presence
• Preferred: background with OneStream, ERP, financial management, accounting, budgeting, or enterprise reporting systems; familiarity with federal financial reporting, GTAS, feeder files, and financial interfaces; experience with secure file transfer protocols, automated scheduling tools, middleware, or enterprise integration platforms; knowledge of production support, incident management, service operations, and system monitoring; support for cutovers, release management, deployment readiness, and stabilization; comfort in compliance-focused federal settings that demand traceability, documentation control, and audit readiness; capacity to work both with a team and independently; strong customer and vendor relationship skills; demonstrated adherence to data standards and policies; eagerness to master new technologies that add value; previous Federal agency work; Department of War experience a plus
