About the Role
This role is pivotal in leading strategy and execution for engaging women philanthropists across Greater Washington. As a key driver of Federation's campaign growth, donor retention, leadership development, and long-term philanthropic impact, the Director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-potential and significant donors. Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive engagement strategies, managing relationships with major donors, and ensuring effective communication and stewardship.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategies to engage women philanthropists in Greater Washington.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with high-potential and significant donors.
- Solicit major gifts from women philanthropists through strategic planning and execution.
- Steward donor relationships to ensure ongoing engagement and support.
- Contribute to the overall growth of Federation's campaign by identifying new opportunities for engagement and leadership development.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on women’s philanthropy or similar roles.
- Proven success in developing and executing comprehensive donor engagement strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with high-potential donors.
- Experience in soliciting major gifts from women philanthropists.
- A deep understanding of the Greater Washington community and its philanthropic landscape.
