The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Philanthropy & Community Engagement to lead our efforts in securing funding and fostering community partnerships. This role is crucial for driving the growth and impact of The Mockingbird Society.
- Develop and implement comprehensive philanthropic strategies
- BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND FUNDERS
- MANAGE A DIVERSE PORTFOLIO OF GRANTS AND DONORS
- COORDINATE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES TO MAXIMIZE IMPACT
- LEAD A TEAM OF DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS
Your Responsibilities
The Director of Philanthropy & Community Engagement will be responsible for:
- Strategically developing and executing fundraising campaigns to meet annual goals
- Building and maintaining relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Overseeing the grant writing process to secure funding opportunities
- Organizing and facilitating community events that enhance our organization's visibility and impact
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment of philanthropic goals with overall organizational objectives
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and community engagement
- A proven track record of securing significant grants and donations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and networking abilities
- Familiarity with donor management software and CRM systems
- Experience in hybrid work environments is preferred
