Role Overview

Elliptic is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our DevOps practices. This role involves combining deep technical ability with a passion for growing the team, leading a DevOps engineering team while staying close to the technical work. You will set direction on infrastructure, automation, and reliability, impacting the company by championing DevOps, security, and reliability principles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Owning the DevOps and Platform roadmap, including Kubernetes platform evolution, application packaging and migration to EKS, and enabling engineering teams to ship reliably to production.
  • Leveraging experience in managing disaster recovery infrastructure and administering Kubernetes clusters across multi-region AWS environments for major projects like AI Gateway and supporting LangChain/LangGraph infrastructure.
  • Working alongside experienced engineers who enjoy solving tough challenges and learning from one another, focusing on automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers while maintaining hands-on technical expertise.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, EKS, and multi-region AWS environments.
  • Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and practices in DevOps.
