Role Overview

As Senior DevOps Engineer - LATAM (Remote) you will help stand up an automation-first infrastructure environment that lets human engineers and AI agents validate updates in minutes, diagnose issues at once, and release with certainty. You will work inside a compact Infrastructure group whose purpose is to amplify every contributor through reusable pipelines, default self-service tooling, and built-in protective controls so manual tickets become rare.

What You'll Do

• Design and run the self-service platform layer that turns preferred secure practices into the simplest daily path for engineers and agents alike.
• Implement shared continuous delivery rails—including a consolidated CI/CD flow, ArgoCD-based GitOps releases, reusable Terraform module libraries, and service-creation templates—so contributors provision resources and deploy inside approved boundaries without writing custom Terraform or Kustomize by hand.
• Extend isolation patterns used by agents into common platform building blocks that supply sandboxed runtimes, workload identity, full audit records, and gated approvals; every automated action then follows the identical identity, ownership, cost-tracking, and consent rails used by people.
• Create and maintain pre-production validation surfaces such as short-lived pull-request environments that tear themselves down, plus security, performance, and load quality checks; keep those checks fast and reliable, expand their coverage, and expose results in machine-readable form that both agents and humans can consume outside the pull-request path.
• Own observability and day-to-day reliability of the surfaces you build: produce dashboards tracking gate success, self-service adoption, common error patterns, spend allocation, and delivery metrics; carry on-call duty, steer incidents from first alert through remediation, and convert recurring friction into reusable automation and documentation.

Requirements

• Senior background in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering that includes constructing and running large-scale production infrastructure and independently owning substantial workstreams.
• Regular, informed application of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex to infrastructure tasks including Terraform updates, Kubernetes troubleshooting, automation scripts, and operational analysis, along with a clear stance on their strengths and limits.
• Extensive hands-on work with Kubernetes on EKS plus core AWS services (IAM, VPC, ECR, Systems Manager / Secrets Manager, S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS / Aurora).
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code practice with Terraform and solid GitOps experience that includes pull-request-driven apply tools (Atlantis or equivalent) and ArgoCD.
• Deep CI/CD expertise using GitHub Actions covering caching, parallelism, artifact handling, test stability, and pipeline visibility.
• Full incident ownership history: you have held on-call responsibility for systems you created and guided events from detection through permanent resolution.
• Clear communication skills that translate platform constraints into practical developer solutions and concise documentation.
• Preferred extras include workload identity and policy-as-code (SPIFFE / SPIRE, OIDC, short-lived credentials, Vault, policy enforcement), prior construction of developer self-service portals, ephemeral environments or scaffolding CLIs, and experience weaving cost attribution or rightsizing directly into platform features.
