About the Role
As a dedicated company driver at U.S. Xpress, you'll operate a commercial vehicle on consistent, predictable routes that allow you to return home every week. This is a full-time driving position focused on dry van freight, with the stability and earnings potential that come from long-term customer partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class-8 tractor hauling dry van freight on assigned dedicated lanes
- Handle 100% touch freight, including loading and unloading responsibilities
- Complete pickups, stops, and backhauls according to dispatch scheduling
- Maintain accurate logbooks and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Deliver freight safely and on time while maintaining professional customer relationships
- Return home weekly to your family and community
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- 1–5 months of prior CDL-A driving experience
- Clean driving record and willingness to pass background checks
- Ability to perform physical demands of loading/unloading freight
- Dependable, safety-focused approach to every trip
