Data Center Site Selection Manager

The Opportunity

Zenlayer is expanding its data center footprint globally to support next-generation AI and computing workloads. We're seeking a Data Center Site Selection Manager to lead our site acquisition strategy, evaluate emerging markets, and establish partnerships with critical infrastructure operators. You'll be at the forefront of infrastructure decisions that enable our customers to deploy distributed, low-latency services worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Identify and evaluate potential data center locations across target markets, assessing technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and business viability
• Conduct comprehensive market research to track energy costs, connectivity trends, power availability, and competitive positioning in key regions
• Lead negotiations with real estate partners, facility operators, and telecommunications providers to secure favorable deployment terms
• Analyze site requirements including power infrastructure, fiber connectivity, cooling capacity, and scalability constraints
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and executive teams to align site selection with long-term infrastructure roadmaps
• Monitor geopolitical, regulatory, and economic factors that impact site viability and deployment timeline

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in data center real estate, infrastructure development, or enterprise site selection
• Deep understanding of data center architecture, power systems, and carrier connectivity requirements
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with demonstrated success in high-stakes commercial deals
• Ability to synthesize complex technical and commercial data to make strategic site recommendations
• Knowledge of global markets and awareness of key infrastructure indicators affecting deployment decisions
• Excellent project management and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
