Cyber Data Protection/Sharepoint Senior Consultant

Deloitte is hiring a Cyber Data Protection/SharePoint Senior Consultant to join our Cyber practice in Newburgh Heights. This is a full-time, on-site position for a seasoned security leader ready to advise Fortune 500 and mid-market enterprises through their most critical data governance and cybersecurity transformations.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant specializing in cyber data protection and SharePoint security, you'll partner with executive teams to architect enterprise-scale solutions that strengthen resilience and compliance. You'll design comprehensive security strategies, lead implementation of advanced data protection controls, and mentor teams through complex multi-year initiatives. Your expertise will help clients minimize risk, meet regulatory mandates, and operate with confidence in an evolving threat environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop data protection and information governance roadmaps; conduct gap assessments against regulatory requirements
• Design secure Microsoft 365 and SharePoint architectures, including access controls, retention frameworks, and threat-resistant configurations
• Lead risk and maturity evaluations across client organizations; recommend prioritized remediation strategies
• Direct implementation of data loss prevention, encryption, and identity solutions aligned with business objectives
• Advise on compliance obligations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, NIST, industry-specific standards) and build roadmaps to achieve them
• Oversee security assessments, penetration testing, and threat-modeling activities
• Present strategic findings and business-aligned recommendations to C-suite stakeholders
• Build institutional knowledge through team mentorship and internal capability development

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity, data protection, or information governance experience
• Advanced proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft 365 security, and cloud identity platforms
• Demonstrated success advising clients on complex security and governance decisions
• Strong working knowledge of data classification, DLP, encryption, identity management, and compliance frameworks
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft security credentials preferred)
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical executives
• Track record managing large-scale transformation programs
