Hydromet CLP Operator I

Freeport-McMoRan is hiring a Hydromet CLP Operator I for our Morenci copper operations facility in Greenlee County, Arizona. This is a full-time operational role based on-site at our Morenci, AZ location.

Join our Operations team as a Hydromet CLP Operator I and play a direct role in running our copper extraction and processing equipment. You'll work in a safety-focused environment where operational excellence and teamwork are valued every day. This is an on-site position requiring your physical presence at our Morenci facility.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor hydrometallurgical copper leach plant (CLP) equipment and systems throughout your shift
• Track process parameters and control systems to maintain efficient operation
• Respond to alarms and equipment alerts, troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and pre-shift inspections on assigned equipment
• Follow established standard operating procedures and safety protocols consistently
• Document operational data, readings, and incidents as required
• Communicate equipment status and concerns to supervisors and team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with facility standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work on-site in an industrial mining and processing environment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following safety procedures
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating industrial equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliability and willingness to work the assigned shift
• Prior hydrometallurgical or mining operations experience is a plus but not required
