About the Role
The Village Family Service Center is one of the region's largest non-profit human service organizations, providing behavioral health support and community services across North Dakota and Minnesota. We're seeking a dedicated Customer Relations and Match Specialist to join our Big Brothers Big Sisters team—a program transforming lives through mentorship and genuine human connection in the Fargo area.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and build strong relationships with prospective mentors and youth participants
- Evaluate match compatibility to ensure successful, long-term mentor-mentee pairings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants and families throughout the mentoring relationship
- Support ongoing participation through regular communication, follow-up, and program coordination
- Monitor match progress and provide coaching to help relationships thrive
- Maintain accurate, detailed participant records and program documentation
- Coordinate logistics and ensure smooth, positive experiences for all program participants
What We're Looking For
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust quickly across diverse populations
- Experience in customer service, case management, youth outreach, or related community roles
- Demonstrated ability to assess people's needs and match them effectively with appropriate resources
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to documentation, follow-through, and administrative work
