Bindery Machine Operator

Schumann Printers is hiring a full-time Bindery Machine Operator to join our finishing operations at our Fall River, Wisconsin location. We're seeking an experienced professional to contribute to our award-winning commercial printing and binding team.

Role Overview

As a Bindery Machine Operator with Schumann Printers, you'll operate specialized finishing equipment in our Finishing Department, processing and binding high-quality printed materials for commercial clients nationwide. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, mechanical skill, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate saddle stitch and perfect binding machines to finish printed materials to exact specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings to maintain consistent quality and productivity
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on bindery machinery
• Inspect finished products for proper binding, collation, and overall quality
• Coordinate with press and production teams to ensure smooth workflow through the finishing department
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a secure work environment

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience operating saddle stitch, perfect binding, or comparable commercial bindery equipment
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality output

• Dedication to workplace safety and industry best practices
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
