About the Role
As Construction Monitor, you'll oversee active construction sites and deliver the detailed oversight that keeps projects compliant and on track. You'll work directly with general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to document progress, flag issues early, and maintain the high standards that protect project integrity.
What You'll Do
- Monitor daily construction activities and inspect work quality against contract documents, design plans, and technical specifications
- Document installation methods, material performance, and site conditions through comprehensive daily reports and photographic records
- Identify defects, code violations, or deviations from approved plans and communicate findings to contractors and project teams immediately
- Track schedule adherence, material deliveries, and labor resources on-site
- Verify that safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards are met throughout construction phases
- Prepare detailed written reports of findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required
- Attend site meetings and maintain clear communication with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; construction management or engineering background preferred
- Experience in construction inspection, site supervision, or construction monitoring roles
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Ability to identify construction defects and quality issues with technical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and site reporting
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work full-time on active construction sites
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently while following project protocols
