Construction Manager, North America Construction Manager, Design and Construction

Amazon's Global Engineering Services team in Houston is hiring a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of world-class facilities and infrastructure that power our North American logistics network. This full-time position is based in the Old Sixth Ward area of Houston, where you'll oversee every phase of construction projects from initial design collaboration through final delivery.

About the Role

As a Construction Manager for Amazon, you'll represent Amazon's interests throughout the construction process, ensuring projects meet our high standards for quality, safety, cost control, and schedule adherence. You'll partner with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver the facilities that support Amazon's continued growth across North America's distribution network.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the complete construction lifecycle for logistics facilities and infrastructure projects
• Conduct thorough design reviews and provide constructive feedback to design teams
• Lead contractor selection, procurement, and contract management processes
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and budget performance on-site
• Manage risk mitigation and problem-solving throughout project execution
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, safety, and finance
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and Amazon standards

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing large-scale construction projects in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management best practices
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, and cost control
• Experience in the logistics, warehouse, or industrial construction sector is a plus
• Ability to work on-site and travel as needed
