Monroe Group LTD seeks a dedicated Community Manager for Somerset Plaza in Wichita, Sedgwick County, to lead the daily operations and resident services of our affordable housing community in this full-time position.
About the Role
The Community Manager at Somerset Plaza plays a central role in the success of our residential community. In this position, you'll work closely with the Regional Manager to oversee all property operations, manage staffing and resident relations, and ensure Somerset Plaza maintains the highest standards of service and compliance with affordable housing regulations, including Section 8 and LIHTC programs.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily property operations and oversee all community-related activities and services
- Assess staffing needs, recruit qualified team members, and manage performance and terminations as needed
- Build positive resident relationships and enforce lease terms fairly and consistently
- Monitor occupancy rates and coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Coordinate maintenance requests and oversee vendor relationships to keep the property in excellent condition
- Support financial oversight including rent collection monitoring and budget management
- Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations and company operational standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing Section 8 and LIHTC affordable housing properties
- Background in property, community, or residential management
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor property staff
- Knowledge of fair housing practices, affordable housing regulations, and tenant rights
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to creating a welcoming community while maintaining property standards
