The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse III to provide expert direct patient care, clinical leadership, and mentorship within our specialty care environment. You'll practice autonomous nursing judgment, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to safe, evidence-based patient outcomes in a locally governed healthcare system that prioritizes both clinical excellence and community engagement. This role offers meaningful work in a setting where your clinical expertise directly impacts patient recovery and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to specialty care patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Exercise professional judgment in clinical decision-making, patient assessment, and care planning
• Mentor and support nursing staff members, contributing to team development and unit culture
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and communicate critical updates to the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice at the unit level

Requirements

• Current North Carolina RN licensure (or valid multistate license)
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, with preferred experience in acute care or specialty settings
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and mentor colleagues
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional development
