About the Role
As a Lecturer in Urban Sustainability, you will teach and support students within The City College of New York's Sustainability in the Urban Environment graduate program. This on-site, full-time faculty position at our Grand Central, Manhattan campus places you at the center of CUNY's mission to prepare a workforce capable of addressing the sustainability demands of the 21st century.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in urban sustainability and related environmental subjects.
- Develop course materials and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Sustainability in the Urban Environment program.
- Mentor and advise graduate students pursuing careers in sustainability.
- Participate in the academic and collegial life of the department and the broader CCNY community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in urban sustainability, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline.
- A strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and student success.
- Relevant academic credentials and professional or scholarly experience appropriate to a lecturer appointment.
- Ability to contribute to a diverse, urban-focused learning environment in Manhattan.
