Classroom Teacher – Lexington, Missouri ($17.30/HR)

UMOS is hiring a full-time Classroom Teacher in Lexington, Missouri to lead instruction, support child development, and partner with families in our community. This position offers $17.30/HR and is based on-site in Lafayette County.

About the Role

As a Classroom Teacher at UMOS, you'll take on a multifaceted instructional role that extends beyond the classroom walls. This full-time opportunity emphasizes direct family engagement, developmental assessment, and creating a strong foundation for student success in Lexington.

What You'll Do

• Organize and conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences on a regular schedule to maintain strong family partnerships
• Administer and track child developmental screenings and assessments to identify individual learning needs
• Collect and maintain timely, accurate data entry in online systems to monitor student progress
• Plan and deliver classroom instruction aligned with developmental and academic standards
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes engagement and growth
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure student success

What We're Looking For

• Valid teaching certification or eligibility for Missouri classroom teaching
• Experience working with students and families in an educational or community setting
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse families and colleagues
• Commitment to child-centered, data-informed instruction
