CenturyLink is seeking a Chief of Staff for Custom Networks to serve as a strategic partner to a senior executive, providing operational leadership, cross-organizational coordination, and executive support. Role Overview

As Chief of Staff, you'll function as both an operational backbone and strategic thought partner to executive leadership. You'll transform high-level organizational priorities into concrete, trackable execution plans while managing complex stakeholder relationships, optimizing leadership time, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. This role is central to the organization's success, requiring someone who can operate effectively across multiple business functions and bridge communication between leadership and broader teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage meeting cadences and agendas for town halls, all-hands sessions, management forums, individual check-ins, and operations reviews
  • Prepare senior leadership for high-stakes internal and external meetings through consolidated prep materials and strategic briefing sessions
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on workforce planning, organizational structure optimization, location strategy, and people analytics
  • Spearhead or coordinate strategic initiatives that span multiple departments and cross-functional teams
  • Surface and resolve organizational conflicts and issues that impact leadership priorities
  • Coach and mentor direct reports and team members on performance, development, and career progression
  • Track organizational performance against established goals and provide progress visibility
  • Partner with the Executive Assistant to align leadership's calendar with strategic and operational priorities
  • Champion employee recognition programs and cultural initiatives that reinforce organizational values

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an operational, strategic planning, or business transformation role
  • Demonstrated success translating executive-level priorities into measurable, executable plans
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Expertise navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments and managing competing priorities
  • Sharp attention to detail across diverse business contexts and subject areas
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Bachelor's degree required; background in management consulting or business operations valued
