About the Role
As a Chassis Technician - Level II, you'll perform intermediate-level diagnostic work, repairs, and preventive maintenance on chassis systems and components in our Kenly service facility. This position combines hands-on technical skill with increasing responsibility for quality outcomes and shop efficiency. You'll work under supervision while independently executing service procedures on customer vehicles and equipment in a professional workshop environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform repairs and maintenance on chassis products following documented procedures and established shop policies
- Execute diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify component failures and system issues
- Replace, repair, and service chassis components including brakes, suspensions, steering, and related assemblies
- Document all work accurately and maintain detailed service records for each job
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Communicate with supervisors and customers regarding repair progress and findings
- Contribute to team efficiency and support shop operations
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a diesel or chassis technician, with demonstrated competency in suspension, brake, and frame systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, service bulletins, and repair procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to customer service
- Valid driver's license and ability to move equipment safely
