Cashier/Food Service Worker

Sodexo is hiring a Cashier/Food Service Worker in Sylvania, Lucas County. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling and a pay range of $15–$16 per hour.

About the Role

As a Cashier/Food Service Worker, you'll be the friendly face at our food service counter, handling transactions, preparing and serving quality food, and ensuring every customer has a great experience. Your flexible schedule will include varying shifts, days, and hours, with some weekend and holiday availability expected.

What You'll Do

• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems with accuracy and efficiency
• Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare and serve food items according to established procedures and portion guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your serving station, equipment, and work area
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling standards
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory levels throughout your shift
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

What We're Looking For

• Reliable attendance with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor
• Basic math ability and comfort with cash registers or point-of-sale systems
• Food service experience or willingness to learn proper food handling techniques
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items regularly
• A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
