About the Role

The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine invites applications from accomplished researchers to develop and lead an independent research program in cancer immunology. As a tenure-eligible faculty member, you will establish a competitive research portfolio, secure extramural funding, and advance our understanding of immunological approaches to cancer treatment and prevention while remaining engaged in clinical practice and academic teaching.

What You'll Do

  • Design and conduct original research in cancer immunology addressing significant clinical challenges
  • Build and mentor a research team including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and laboratory staff
  • Secure and manage extramural research funding through grants and institutional support
  • Teach and mentor medical, graduate, and undergraduate students in oncology and immunology
  • Participate in clinical oncology services, patient care, and multidisciplinary tumor conferences
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences
  • Collaborate with faculty across Emory's research centers and affiliated institutions

What We're Looking For

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in immunology, oncology, molecular biology, or closely related discipline
