About the Role
This full-time Call Center Specialist position offers a consistent 40-hour Monday through Friday day schedule. You'll be the vital first point of contact for patients and callers, handling inbound calls with professionalism and care. The position is non-exempt with a hiring range of $15.00 to $23.32 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do
- Answer and route incoming calls promptly to the appropriate departments and staff members
- Schedule patient appointments using our healthcare management systems
- Provide clear information about Harrington Hospital services, hours, and procedures
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate patient information with strict confidentiality
- Manage a high volume of calls while maintaining composure and courtesy
- Escalate complex issues and patient concerns to supervisors or clinical staff appropriately
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations and UMass Memorial Health protocols
